2025 SaaSMe Award Winners: Recognizing SaaS Management Excellence

SaaSMe 2025 Award

04/16/2025

At Zylo, we get a front-row seat to the amazing results that happen when IT, Software Asset Management (SAM), Procurement, and Finance come together to create real SaaS Management excellence. Whether it’s at global enterprises or fast-scaling organizations, we’re seeing teams reduce costs, boost adoption, and drive innovation—all at the same time.

That’s why we created the SaaSMe Awards. To celebrate the people and organizations writing the playbook for how it’s done.

On April 15, 2025, we presented awards in four categories and honored five new SaaS superheroes.

Visibility Visionary Award: Barracuda Networks

SaaSMe 2025 Award: Visibility VisionaryThe Visibility Visionary Award celebrates teams that have built a crystal-clear view of their SaaS stack—creating a true SaaS system of record, identifying redundancies, and doubling down on the tools that move the business forward. This year’s winner is the team at Barracuda Networks.

Barracuda’s team took on a challenge that a lot of scaling companies face: a sprawling SaaS environment growing faster than they could keep up with.

Instead of accepting the chaos, they leaned in. They got methodical, auditing and categorizing their apps—really doing the work to build a clean, accurate system of record. With structured processes and Zylo in their toolkit, they didn’t just track tools—they took control.

Their discipline and vision set a high bar for building clarity in a complex stack.

Cost Avoidance Champion Award: SurveyMonkey

SaaSme 2025 Award: Cost Avoidance ChampionThe Cost Avoidance Champion Award recognizes teams that have built proactive, repeatable practices to avoid waste before it starts—whether that’s optimizing licenses, managing renewals, or spotting unneeded SaaS subscriptions. And the award goes to SurveyMonkey!

SurveyMonkey’s team didn’t just save money—they made sure they never had to spend it in the first place by building a cost-avoidance engine. Through data-driven decision-making and operational rigor, they stopped expenses before they hit the budget line.

Their partnership with Zylo has been nothing short of remarkable, delivering over $1M in savings and cost avoidance—a testament to their strategic vision and execution. This team truly embodies the spirit of the Cost Avoidance Award.

Savings Spotlight Award: Yahoo

SaaSMe 2025 Award: Savings SpotlightThe Savings Spotlight Award honors teams that have delivered measurable, hard-dollar savings for their business. These aren’t passive optimizations—they’re the result of active SaaS Management: tight renewal processes, rightsizing licenses, eliminating shadow IT, and negotiating like pros.

This year’s winner, Yahoo, really took the reins. They monitored renewals with precision, ensured every license was being put to work, and weren’t afraid to push back at the negotiating table.

The result? Hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings—real dollars back in the business—and that’s not even counting what they avoided spending.

Compliance Excellence Award: Guidewire

SaaSMe 2025 Award: Compliance ExcellenceNext up is the Compliance Excellence Award, which recognizes a team that’s gone above and beyond to ensure their SaaS environment is secure, governed, and built for long-term success. This year, the team at Guidewire claimed the win.

The Guidewire team doesn’t just think about compliance—they live and breathe it.

They’ve taken a detailed, proactive approach to managing shadow IT, reducing risky SaaS subscriptions, and ensuring every cost is allocated clearly and transparently. They’re not satisfied with just staying compliant—they’re building trust, minimizing risk, and delivering long-term value.
