Celebrating the 2024 SaaSMe Award Winners

SaaSMe award winners 2024

04/17/2024

SaaS Management isn’t just a “nice to have” anymore — it’s a critical business practice. Without it, you are wasting money, overspending, and increasing risk for your organization. The key to getting started: saying goodbye to the tools and strategies of yesterday.

And Zylo customers are doing just that. They’re pioneering the future of software management by refusing to maintain the status quo. They are leveraging the dynamic partnership of IT, Software Asset Management, and Procurement to fuel a successful ongoing SaaS Management program.

We created the SaaSMe Awards to honor the organizations and individuals taking this progressive approach to SaaS Management.

On April 16, 2024, we presented awards in five categories. For each category, two winners were awarded – one enterprise winner and one high-growth winner. This year, we also introduced two new awards: the Software Asset Management Leader of the Year and the Say No to the Status Quo award. Last but not least, we also crowned four new SaaS Superheroes.

SaaS Management Program of the Year

SaaSMe 2024 Program of the Year Award

This award recognizes organizations that have adopted an innovative and comprehensive SaaS Management strategy. They’ve driven widespread adoption of SaaS Management practices and made it a cornerstone of their business success.

Modernizing Medicine: Enterprise SaaS Management Program of the Year

The team at Modernizing Medicine have set the gold standard for operationalizing SaaS license management in the enterprise. From implementing an ongoing cadence for license reclamation to engaging users throughout the process, they are fueling innovation, driving operational excellence, and creating a great employee experience. This dedication has led to ModMed actively embracing Zylo’s Workflows feature to automate license management. And working with the Procurement team to turn their cost avoidance measures into cost savings at renewal.

OutSystems: High-Growth SaaS Management Program of the Year

Paulo, Zsofia, Hugo, and the entire OutSystems team have built a comprehensive SaaS Management program – starting with the data to the underlying processes to manage their SaaS. Just recently, they’ve deployed automation to feed usage data into Zylo, allowing them to expand their license rationalization process to even greater heights. They are more than simply power users; they are valued partners who push us to be better.

SaaS Management Value Driver Award

SaaSMe 2024 Value Driver Award

This award celebrates Zylo advocates and customers who take a proactive approach to SaaS adoption, utilization, and cost control. By focusing on driving utilization and rightsizing licenses, they drive ROI and ensure their teams are maximizing the value of their SaaS subscriptions.

Chronosphere: High-Growth SaaS Management Value Driver Award

Leading the charge in renewal management, Chronosphere uses Zylo to ensure that their SaaS renewals are done ahead of time and nothing falls through the cracks. Because they  have excellent relationships with the app owners across the business, they have  deep insight into what’s being used  and why. By building a collaborative renewal and license management program, they drive ongoing efficiency and savings across the organization.

IT Leader of the Year

SaaSMe 2024 IT Leaders of the Year Award

SaaS Management is a team sport, but some leaders stand out as change agents. This award recognizes the IT leaders that have taken ownership of SaaS Management. They don’t just manage software – they evangelize its value across the organization and drive increased efficiency.

FIS IT Team: Enterprise IT Leaders of the Year

This team sets the bar for excellence in Enterprise-level SaaS Management. They’ve  built a team where the  whole is greater than the sum of its parts. By leveraging existing processes, and creating new ones, the FIS SaaS Management team has created a central source of truth for their organization. This has empowered them to  operationalize their entire SaaS Management footprint through software classification and programmatic task execution.

Bobby Kingsberry, LucidWorks: High-Growth IT Leader of the Year

This strategic IT leader has made it his goal to drive savings by right-sizing software licenses and eliminating redundant applications. He promotes a culture of cost consciousness and efficiency, and has instituted clear and transparent IT policies and guidelines. As a result, all employees understand the approved procedures for acquiring and using software, which has almost fully eliminated Shadow IT from their organization.

Procurement Leader of the Year

SaaSMe 2024 Procurement Leader of the Year Award

This award recognizes the Procurement leader who has proactively driven internal change to achieve meaningful business value – from cost savings and avoidance to streamlined procurement processes and beyond. These leaders are progressive thought-leaders and champions of change who propel their organizations forward.

Jessica Moser, QAD

Jessica Moser is a procurement phenom who has gone all-in on SaaS Management. Despite being a newer Zylo user, she has quickly mastered the platform for managing the procurement function at QAD. As a result, Jessica has been able to build a bridge between IT and Procurement, a critical element to driving a successful SaaS Management program. On top of that she’s developed an ongoing cadence of license reclamation with Zylo Workflows to not only drive cost savings at renewal but manage their budget more effectively.

Software Asset Management Leader of the Year

SaaSMe 2024 SAM Leader of the Year Award

This award recognizes the Software Asset Management leader who has taken ownership of SaaS Management and is a proven changemaker within the enterprise. The individual selected is a shining example of a progressive thought-leader who not only empowers the business to make intelligent decisions but also drives efficiency and cost savings.

Chris Sizemore, Cox Automotive

Chris is a true steward of SaaS Management at Cox Automotive. He actively empowers other departments to effectively manage their SaaS with Zylo – just recently helping with reclamation of Microsoft Project & Visio licenses. But that’s not why Chris is a SAM Leader of the Year. He is a passionate advocate, leading the charge at Cox Automotive on why SaaS management is so critical in today’s workplace. An early adopter of Zylo, Chris and the Cox Auto team are on the front lines of Enterprise SaaS Management, and it’s been inspiring to watch them build their program.

Say No to the Status Quo

SaaSMe 2024 Say No to the Status Quo Award

This award celebrates organizations that exemplify a commitment to innovation and disruption in their SaaS management practices, embodying the mantra of ‘Say no to status quo.’ They have demonstrated remarkable creativity in transforming their approach to SaaS Management, challenging conventional norms, and pioneering new strategies that push the boundaries of what’s possible. These individuals serve as inspiring examples of how to break free from traditional paradigms and drive meaningful innovation in SaaS management.
